GH6 display panel upside down in 'selfie' mode

As is says, when I flip the display panel to view myself in front of the lens, it doesn't seem to flip the image so I end up viewing my shot upside down. Is this common? Will there be an update to resolve this at some point? It looks like this has been a common problem with each iteration on some level.
