Lumix DMC-ZS50: Clean jammed lens?
Hi everybody,
I bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS50 some years ago in NYC. The performance has been perfect and so useful for professional photo; compared to the mobile phones giving a feeling as always slipping out of hand like a soap bar in the shower.
Now, the focusing has jammed giving blurred pictures. When opening the lens there is a crackling noise and it stops half-way out or -in when closing. It can be “helped” though, by gently turning the objective. But just the sound is terrible.
How can I remove dirt from lens and get back to normal operation?
Can I open the body removing the miniscule screws and have access from inside? Then blow pressurized air and maybe spray a special oil at the right place?
Appreciate your ideas,
Ingemar
